Gallatin Fire Protection District is an all Volunteer District which protects 94 square miles of southern Daviess County, including Gallatin.

The District consists of Rural, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Agricultural properties with many state and county highways intersecting throughout. Our District is governed by a three (3) member Board of Directors operating on funds from a tax levy.

We provide fire, rescue, medical first response and hazards mitigation out of one station with volunteer personnel to approximately 2550 residents. Our daytime population increases with many commercial and industrial businesses employing individuals from outside the area.  Our District ISO Rating of 6/6Y.

Gallatin Fire Protection District is dedicated to preserving the quality of life and property of our residents, visitors and businesses due to fire, medical and other emergencies. We will strive to achieve this mission in an efficient and professional manner through emergency and non-emergency response, fire suppression, training and fire prevention.
